Anti-spyware software is an essential part of safe computing. Proof of current anti-spyware software is required for network access in all campus housing areas and for wireless access. This requirement applies to Windows operating systems only.
Cal Poly provides FREE WebRoot Spy Sweeper anti-spyware software to eligible Cal Poly users. People with access to a high-speed Internet connection can download the software from the My Cal Poly portal for installation on home Windows computers only (see below).
Faculty and staff should contact their LAN Coordinator to install Spy Sweeper on their campus computer. If you do not have a LAN Coordinator, contact the ITS Service Desk for assistance (see below).
If you have problems downloading, contact the ITS Service Desk (see below). Residence hall students should contact ResNET to make sure their computer is properly configured for use with the campus and residence hall networks.
